Kenneth Schneyer's next published stories will be "Tamaza's Future and Mine" (Asimov's, 2024) and "Winding Sheets (Lightspeed, 2024 or 2025). His short fiction has been nominated for both the Nebula and Sturgeon awards, has found its way into a few "Year's Best" anthologies, and has been translated into five other languages. His second collection, Anthems Outside Time and Other Strange Voices, garnered starred reviews from both Publishers Weekly and Library Journal. Ken was trained as an actor/director, a lawyer, and a project manager, but has spent most of his career as Professor of Humanities & Legal Studies at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he has taught courses on such topics as science fiction literature, Shakespeare, constitutional law, criminal procedure, American government, and formal logic. His research specialty is the constitutive rhetoric of legal texts, particularly as it pertains to employment discrimination based on sex.
He is interested in astronomy, genealogy, electoral politics, feminist theory, presidential history, and practically everything else. Born in Detroit, he now lives in Rhode Island with his spouse and occasionally his grown children.
